The InterAmerican Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISPhar) is an independent non-governmental technical-scientific organization devoted to protect patients in Latin America from the risks caused by substandard or counterfeited pharmaceutical products. We work relentless to assure to all human beings in Latin America the same safety, efficacy and quality standards that save lives and benefit the population of rich developed countries.

ISPhar fights against the biased use of public resources by government on politicaly-driven health care practices that endanger patients or public health. Our members work to assure the access to medicines, sustained development and social and economic policies that prevent harm to patients associated with substandard pharmaceutical products. Pharmaceutical products must qualify under internationally accepted technical standards and satisfy the health care needs of patients. counterfeit and substandard drugs kill.
